How the calculation works
Spacing = (spine length − 2 × inset) ÷ (staple count − 1).
Before you use the result
Positions are measured from the same end of the spine. This is a layout aid; check the stapler reach and test on scrap.
A worked example
Spine length (mm): 210 · First and last staple inset (mm): 40 · Number of staples: 2.
